The Whitsundays is Australia’s aquatic playground, made up of 74 tropical islands dotted in the sparkling, azure blue seas. You are in for a feast of the senses while visiting our beautiful region, but in particular you’ll be awed by the stunning scenery.
While the vast majority of the islands are national park, with fringing coral reefs and secluded beaches tucked into protected bays, there are several island resorts with wonderful facilities which can also be explored on a day trip. Most famous of all the island beaches is Whitehaven Beach, a 7km stretch of perfect white sand lapped by aquamarine waters.
The Great Barrier Reef cradles the group of islands and is home to hundreds of species of fish and corals, healthy, bright and beautiful just waiting to be explored. The Whitsundays is also home to world famous Heart Reef, the most romantic little patch of coral you’ve ever seen.
Airlie Beach is the hub of the Whitsunday Coast, and the departure point for all of the tours exploring the Whitsunday islands, Whitehaven Beach and the Great Barrier Reef. It is a bustling little cosmopolitan town, with restaurants and cafes, a large swimming lagoon, shops and a friendly welcoming holiday atmosphere. Seabreeze Tourist Park is located right on the fringe of the Airlie Beach town centre, and just across the road from Cannonvale Beach which is home to a large range of free family facilities.
You are spoiled for choice on how to explore this amazing and beautiful destination – the hardest part is choosing!
And to make it even harder, we have a range of activities regularly planned within our park just for our guests! Time your visit to coincide with one of our many events – check out our event calendar.
