While there’s a huge range of tours to choose from to explore the Whitsundays, you can also enjoy the region’s many free facilities, activities and destinations while on holidays. We’ve listed our favourites!
Free activities nearby to Seabreeze Tourist Park:
- Airlie Beach Lagoon – swimming, sunbaking and lazing overlooking the islands, free barbecues
- Bicentennial boardwalk – scenic walkway along the waterline from Cannonvale Beach to Airlie Beach (suitable for bikes, skateboards, scooters, dogs, prams, etc!)
- Cannonvale Botanic Gardens – including playgrounds, walkways, skate bowl, basketball court, public exercise equipment
- Cannonvale Beach (for swimming, walking, playing, exercising dogs off lead during set hours and free barbecues)
- Beachside markets (every Saturday along the Airlie Beach foreshore)
Other free Whitsundays activities:
- Cedar Creek waterfall (and swimming hole)
- Bushwalks (see Whitsundays Must Do’s)
- Drive to Cape Gloucester at Hydeaway Bay to visit one or both of the secluded resorts there – swim, laze on the beach or have lunch
- Drive to Dingo Beach – also a secluded beach with a great little pub right on the sand
